Congratulations to Advanced Scanners

Ramey & Schwaller awarded a prize of $10,000 in intellectual property services to Advanced Scanners at the 2018 Texas A&M New Ventures Competition on May 17, 2018.  Pictured left to right are Melissa Schwaller of Ramey & Schwaller and Jeff Levine, Aaron Bernstein, and Lars Kuslich, all of Advanced Scanners.  Advanced Scanners is creating a 3D optical computer vision system that tracks the motion of the patient’s brain during surgery and corrects the brain maps (MRIs) surgeons use in real time.

2018 Texas A&M New Ventures Comptetition

Dr. Melissa Schwaller will proudly represent the firm at the 2018 New Ventures Competition on May 17, 2018.  This will be the second consecutive year Ramey & Schwaller will send one of its partners to judge this event.  Not only does the firm participate in judging the competition we also sponsor the event, giving a ten thousand dollar donation of Intellectual Property Legal Services which Dr. Schwaller will present to the winner of the New Ventures Competition.

Bill Ramey judges Second Annual New Ventures Competition at Texas A&M University

On May 1, 2016, Bill Ramey judged the Texas A&M New Ventures Competition.  “The quality of the presentations was top notch,” said Ramey.  “I look forward to judging the 2017 competition.

The Texas A&M New Ventures competition is aimed at promoting the commercialization of emerging technology, the inaugural Texas A&M New Ventures Competition is helping today’s innovative ideas become a reality. Led by the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and the Texas A&M University System, the competition recognizes Texas-based companies with high-growth potential and provides seed funding to help them effectively execute their ideas and advance product development.
